Europazentrum Graz - ESTÖ
European Skiing Week 2006/07
Innsbruck/Tyrol
December, 26th 2006 – January, 2nd 2007
“Youth goes Europe- New Strategies
on the Way to a European Union of the Citizens”
The Europazentrum Graz together with ESTÖ (European Association of Students in Austria) organises the 24th European Skiing Week - this year for the 8th time in Innsbruck (City of Olympic Games) in Tyrol. The European Skiing Week offers to its participants the opportunity for socializing with the objectives of organizing common European youth projects,
cultivating existing contacts to young people and youth leaders, and of course with the objective of common recreational activities and lots of fun.
PROGRAMME
Many citizens loose interest in a political process, in which they obviously are not able to participate! Many citizens believe the European Union to be a far away political and economical something.
„Going local!“ is the new advertising motto of a new action plan of the European Commission in order to improve the communication between European Union and European Citizens.
A half-a-day seminar will focus the information and the participation of the European citizens in working groups and in discussions.
FURTHERMORE...
But then, of course, in order to balance out work, there must be fun and plenty of it. We will therefore practice the common Europe together on one of the skiing slopes or wide across tracks around the Olympic City of Innsbruck. Innsbruck will also offer a variety of events to its guests.
The absolute high point of this week will however be the European New Years´ Eve Party.
